Popular Singer Tousif Ahmed Seriously Injured After Stroke, 27 Stitches on Head
Country's popular singer Tousif Ahmed has been admitted to the hospital after becoming seriously ill. It is reported that he suffered a mild stroke and fell down, causing severe head injury. On Friday (January 02) morning, he was transferred to the ICU of a private hospital in the capital. Doctors said that a deep wound was created on his head due to the fall and 27 stitches had to be given there.

Family sources said Tousif suddenly felt sick at home on Thursday night. At one point, he fell in the bathroom and lost consciousness. He was immediately taken to the hospital. The CT scan report showed that he had bleeding in his brain and suffered a skull injury from the fall. A shadow of grief descended on the music arena as the news spread.
Statement of Doctors
The medical board formed for Tousif's treatment said that although his condition is currently stable, he is not out of danger. He will be kept under close observation for the next 72 hours. Neurosurgeon Dr. Rafiqul Islam said, "One side of his body has become slightly paralyzed due to the stroke. However, we are hopeful that he will recover quickly with proper treatment. The head injury was quite severe."
